Air Force Information Warfare Center The Air Force Information Warfare Center (AFIWC) was the original focal point for Air Force Information Warfare (IW) activities, established in 1993, focusing on offensive/defensive counterinformation and operations, but its functions have evolved and integrated into the modern Sixteenth Air Force (Air Forces Cyber), which now leads all USAF information warfare, combining ISR, cyber, EW, weather, and intelligence to generate information advantage for commanders globally.
