Electronic Attack Squadron 134 (VAQ-134) EA-18G Electronic Attack Squadron 134 (VAQ-134) “Garudas” were originally commissioned on 7 Jun 1969 at NAS Alameda, CA, flying the EKA-3B electronic warfare/tanker and KA-3B tanker Skywarriors. VAQ-134 transitioned to Detachment 134 of VAQ-135 for its 1970-71 WestPac deployment aboard the USS Ranger, and stood down in Jul 1971. Reactivated in May 1972, operating the EA-6B Prowler. Deactivated on 31 Mar 1995. Reactivated in Oct 1995, replacing the EA-6B with the EA-18G Growler in 2016-.
