Attack Squadron 155 (VA-155)

Established as Reserve Attack Squadron SEVENTY ONE E (VA-71E) in 1946. Redesignated Reserve Attack Squadron FIFTY EIGHT A (VA-58A) on 1 Oct 1948; Reserve Composite Squadron SEVEN HUNDRED TWENTY TWO (VC-722) on 1 Nov 1949; Reserve Attack Squadron SEVEN HUNDRED TWENTY EIGHT (VA-728) on 1 Apr 1950. Called to active duty as Attack Squadron SEVEN HUNDRED TWENTY EIGHT (VA-728) on 1 Feb 1951; Attack Squadron ONE HUNDRED FIFTY FIVE (VA-155) on 4 Feb 1953. Disestablished on 30 Sep 1977. The second squadron to to be assigned the VA-155 designation.

Douglas AD-6/7 Skyraider

Insignia was adopted by the squadron in 1953 following its redesignation. There is no official approval date for this insignia, but the insignia was modified and approved by CNO on 8 Jul 1959.
