Air Anti-Submarine Squadron 21 (VS-21) WESTERN PACIFIC CRUISE 1977 Established as Torpedo Squadron FORTY ONE (VT-41) on 26 Mar 1945. Redesignated Attack Squadron ONE E (VA-1E) on 15 Nov 1946. Attack Squadron ONE E (VA-1E) and Fighter Squadron ONE E (VF-1E) were merged into Composite Squadron TWO ONE (VC-21) on 1 Sep 1948. Redesignated Air Anti-Submarine Squadron TWO ONE (AIRASRON 21 or VS-21) on 23 Apr 1950; Sea Control Squadron TWO ONE (VS-21) on 1 Oct 1993. Disestablished on 28 Feb 2005.
