Boeing GBU-53/B StormBreaker

The USAF Boeing Small Diameter Bomb II, or SDB II, is officially known as the GBU-53/B StormBreaker, an air-launched, precision-guided glide bomb capable of destroying both moving and stationary ground targets in adverse weather at standoff ranges. Developed by Boeing for the Air Force and Navy, this network-enabled weapon features an encrypted data link for in-flight target updates and a tri-mode seeker that uses infrared, millimeter wave radar, and semi-active laser to ensure precision and effectiveness against targets. It is fielded on the F-15E Strike Eagle and is being integrated onto other platforms like the F-35 and F-16.
