Gentex Combat Edge Flight Equipment Combat Edge is flight gear like the G-suit and helmet that helps pilots withstand the amount of G forces the newer generation fighters can pull. It started with the F-16 in the late 80s and has evolved since. This patch came out then with the initial CE gear. Note the two F-16 like shapes as well. I started seeing CE gear in squadron use in the mid-90s.
