General Atomics YFQ-42A Eaglet
|
The General Atomics Aeronautical Systems Eaglet is a small, air-launched drone designed to extend sensor reach and provide survivability for manned aircraft by operating in dangerous, contested areas. First launched from a MQ-1C Gray Eagle, the Eaglet can also be launched from other manned or unmanned platforms and is designed to carry modular payloads for multi-mission support, enabling persistent surveillance and deep sensing capabilities. The U.S. Air Force designated the drone as the YFQ-42A and it is a key component of the Collaborative Combat Aircraft (CCA) concept, demonstrating the growing trend of autonomous, teaming aircraft in future warfare
