US Military Patches

2d Airborne Command and Control Squadron Morale
There were quite a few squadron members who did not care for the design of the original "bluebird patch". When the SAC version of the 2 ACCS patch was finally approved in 1989, they created this patch to celebrate the demise of the much-despised emblem (hence, the SAC fist strangling the bluebird). Worn circa 1989-1990 primarily, but a few unit members were still wearing it as late as 1993 in place of the new (i.e., post-SAC) squadron patches that had not yet been received.
