2d Airborne Command and Control Squadron Flight Operations

2 ACCS/DOF Functional patch worn on the left shoulder by the SAC flight crew ("front enders") until SAC inactivation in 1992, and then by all squadron personnel on the right shoulder as the interim squadron patch (the SAC shield unit patch was banned and barred) until the new (non-SAC) version of the squadron patch arrived. Note that the two main elements of this patch (eagle and star) were used on the unit's new, officially approved squadron patch.
