9th Strategic Reconnaissance Wing Detachment 1 Inactivation The upper aircraft depicted on the patch is an RC-135. This is curious because although, like the SR-71s, they too operated out of Kadena, they were never assigned to Det. 1. Possibly, the aircraft was intended to be a KC-135Q and the art selected for it was considered "close enough." -GWO
