US Military Patches

4th Airborne Command and Control Squadron Airborne Launch Control System
Morale patch created in mid-to-late 1980s, probably by Paul Weiser,* and worn by Airborne Launch Control System members. The story goes that the squadron commander at the time was incessantly harping on the importance of always exhibiting style and grace in all endeavors, and this patch was made so that no ALCS member wearing it could ever be accused of not displaying "style and grace."

*Paul Weisner drew a similar design (aircraft caricature) for a print that was given to departing members, so if he didn't design the patch, it was certainly based on his art.
