US Military Patches

4th Airborne Command and Control Squadron Deployment 1986
This patch commemorates the alternate basing of the unit's aircraft (and most of the rest of the squadron as well; i.e., unit relocation) during a good portion of 1986 while the runway was being renovated in preparation for the new B-1Bs. "Drinking Glass" is a pun on the "Looking Glass" mission and "PAX" is a pun on the PACCS (Post Attack Command & Control System) mission. The genie provides a clue to the unit's home away from home during the reconstruction (Minot), which is where two of the four alert EC-135s were normally forward deployed anyway.
