Task Force Alpha A highly classified and technical computer system, Igloo White was deployed in late 1967 in an effort to stop or at least hinder the movement of North Vietnam troops into South Vietnam through Laos and the Ho Chi Minh Trail. Task Force Alpha was the Infiltration Surveillance Center that received and analyzed those Igloo White sensor signals.
