332d Expeditionary Fighter Squadron F-16 Swirl The 332d Expeditionary Fighter Squadron was a designation used to refer to Air National Guard and Air Force Reserve Command F-16 units deploying to Balad AB. While the 332d designation was widely used, its was not the proper designation of the units while deployed to Balad. The 332d is used since most Guard/Reserve units rotated in and out on a more frequent basis compared to their active duty counterparts.
