Fighter Squadron 102 (VF-102) Deactivation
Established as Attack Squadron THIRTY SIX (VA-36) on 1 Jul 1955 and redesigneated Fighter Squadron ONE ZERO TWO (VF-102) "Diamondbacks" (Second VF-102) on the same day. It should be noted that on the same day the old VF-102 was redesignated VA-36. This unit is separate from VA-36 that was established on 1 Jul 1955. Redesignated Strike Fighter Squadron ONE ZERO TWO (VFA-102) in 2005.
