US Military Patches

8th Tactical Deployment Control Squadron Tactical Air Command Airborne Command Post Head Dancer
"Head Dancer" was the nickname for the command's airborne extension of the ground-based TAC (and, later, ACC) Command Post at Langley AFB, VA. This platform provided an airborne communications capability for exercising command and control of Tactical Air Forces during deployment and redeployment operations worldwide. The aircraft were also used to provide emergency transportation for the Commander, TAC (and, later, ACC) and staff.

This patch was constructed by attaching a TAC patch to the center and direct embroidering the remainder of the design
