55th Wing OPEN SKIES
The Treaty on Open Skies entered into force on January 1, 2002, and currently has 34 party states. It establishes a program of unarmed aerial surveillance flights over the entire territory of its participants promoting openness and transparency of military forces and activities . The US uses an OC-135B aircraft, with personnel from the Defense Threat Reduction Agency manning the monitors and sensors. Aircrew come from the 55th Wing. Patch most likely used by both.
